Our yummiest dessert!

Training
We had 4 hours of classroom training, which was conducted by Nanda from Karisma. We went over the room and hotel descriptions in depth. They served us cookies, pastries and sandwiches as well as a variety of beverages. It was getting pretty warm in the room, so we took a short break while they adjusted the air. The Lomas Travel Rep came and spoke to us regarding Karisma weddings. Those can get a bit complicated, but she is very thorough and we really don't need to know all of the specifics because they are there to assist our clients. Lastly, Miguel from Lomas came in to talk to us about the Riviera Maya and tours that Lomas has to offer. We wrapped up by filling out a couple of surveys and they gave us a Karisma purse holder and certificate (but my name was spelled wrong). LOL Free Time We had about 4 hours between the end of our class and our farewell dinner. Annemarie picked me up and we went to the Gran Bahia Principe Coba. We had a lot of time to chat in the car and she told me that at her farewell dinner, that the General Manager of the GBP asked her to work as the Rooms Division Manager in the Tulum hotel. She is torn as she already accepted a position at the Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda. Jorge wasn't there because he had to go on leave to have a cyst removed from his head. Then, he decided to go to Las Vegas and I got to talk to him before he left for his trip. He bought a condo at http://www.selvamar.com.mx/. He is also opening up a bathing suit store in Playa Del Carmen with his niece on 10th Avenue. Anne Marie and I joked that everything he touches turns to gold, but it's true! Luis was not there when we arrived. Gerardo said that he left with his "clone," the hotel sub-director. Anne Marie was very upset. If we had known, we would have gone to Playa instead. We had lunch at the Kukulcan buffet and then sat in the lobby and had a cappuccino and talked some more. It was very nice of Anne Marie to drive me all the way back (and it was her last day at the GBP Coba). Bathing suit? LOL No need to worry about which one to wear. There literally was no time!

Farewell Dinner
I had 25 minutes from the time I entered the lobby. I quickly walked through the resort to my room. (Luckily, I had my clothes all ready.) I took a cold shower, because there was no hot water. I threw my clothes on, put on new make-up and was just switching purses when Joann knocked on my door. I was so excited that I was ready.

La Fuente
Dinner was at La Fuente, where they have show cooking. It was a set menu again, and I had to order beef AGAIN! LOL I can't believe they never had chicken as an option. It was always steak or fish (which we all know that I am allergic to). They started with yummy corn muffins, which I love. Then, they ended with Tres Leches and Fresa for dessert, which was served in a Martini glass. We all agreed that it was one of the best desserts. Nanda joined us for dinner and during our dinner conversation, I learned that she knows Luis Ramirez and Jorge Garcia. It's such a small world. (She also knows Noè.)

After Dinner
Some of the group wanted to go to the Martini Bar, but I said only if they serve "Hot Chocolate Martinis" because it's freezing in there! The A/C is cranking. Luckily, Jenna chimed in that she wanted to go to the "swing" bar and that's where they have the nightly entertainment. There was still a breeze from the ocean, which made it a little chilly (although I seemed to be the only one who was). I didn't even order a drink because I was too cold.

The entertainment started with a live band and then the International show began. We turned in about 10:00 or 10:30 p.m.

Wrapping Up
I went back to the room and packed. Then, I took another jacuzzi now that I knew where to find the button for the jets. Can you believe that it was under the champagne bucket?

This was a very busy and exhausting, but great trip!

I have mucho pounds to take off when I get home!
